To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter after seeing your thought provoking and spiritually uplifting program for the first time. I commend you for your seemingly tireless efforts to educate and lead those of us who have not been one with our maker. On a personal level I must be honest and confess that I have strayed from the Lord. Ever since the freak farming mishap that left me permanently disabled I have been unwilling and unable to accept God into my life. To this day I blame him for not looking out for me when I needed him the most. Being swept into that massive turbine was the turning point in my life. I play back the events leading up to that faithful day in my mind constantly hoping that somehow the outcome will be different. I am also writing today to request a copy of the Study Bible offered at the end of your program. I realize a gift of $40 was requested to support the continued work of your ministry. Unfortunately, my financial situation is such that I am unable to afford this expense. I am forced to allocate expenditures carefully as you no doubt understand. The simple act of purchasing a stamp to mail this letter, while trivial to most, has put a strain on my budget.I hope my inability to provide a monetary gift does not damper your enthusiasm and willingness to help me. I truly believe the words of God can make a huge difference in my life. Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to consider my humble request.
