Dear God,

Why have thou forsaken me all mighty one? Why must I bear your wrath on such a consistent basis? How have I slighted thee to warrant such grave punishment? One man should not have to suffer such trial and tribulation as you see fit to subject me to. My name is not Jesus Christ for God's sake. My name is John Doh. I am merely a man. My shoulders are too narrow to support such burdens. I cannot endure these countless hardships. The alcoholism. The drug abuse. The unemployment. The physical impediments. The relentless taunting by my fellow man as I stagger down the street in a drunken stupor.This constant verbal attack has driven me into hiding turning me into a virtual hermit. This time alone has given me the opportunity to think about my life and evaluate my situation.Then it happened. I was watching television when the answer came to me in a blink of an eye. Oddly enough it did not occur during the religious program I was watching but after as the program ended and a commercial came on. I remember it like it happened yesterday. An advertisement for a lawyer, Bob "The Hammer" Shipiro. This charismatic man with a law book in his hand and countless others stacked neatly on shelves directly behind him prompting people with personal injuries to call him for help. Then the moment of enlightenment! God was sending me a message! My attention was mysteriously drawn to the book Bob was holding. On the front cover in bold print it read The Holy Bible! Then my eyes shifted to the shelf behind Bob. On every spine of every boob the same words appeared. The Holy Bible! It was a sign from God! The answer was simple! So very simple. The word of God. I need a Bible God was telling me. God was working through Bob "The Hammer" Shipiro to touch me.I pray that you can help me fulfill God's will by sending me a Holy Bible? Thank you for sharing in my joyous news and I hope to be reading God's word very soon.
