Questioning the boundaries of authorship and identity, Dill's work incorporates text, particularly excerpts from the poetry of Emily Dickinson. This exhibition represents a cross-section of Dill's varied work over the last four years, an intensely fertile period in which she distilled influences from a yearlong residency in India. Also on display are examples of Dill's renowned mixed-media photographs in which images of the body and words are equally important. In these and other images Dill dramatizes the way language can simultaneously reveal and conceal identities. Murdock and organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Trinity College, Hartford.
