Frank Sinatra & Sammy Davis Jr. Live at the Metro Center Arena, Minneapolis March 22, 1988 It seems that this was a "Rat Pack Reunion" tour featuring not only Sinatra and Sammy, but Deano Martin, too. The whole concept and purpose of the tour (obviously arranged by the Boss, Frank) was to give Deano a much-needed distraction after the death of his son. (It's generally believed that Deano "died" when his son passed away in '85 or '86.) Sadly, Deano suffered health problems and was suddenly hospitalised, mid-tour. Thus, he quit the tour, making it a Sinatra & Sammy duo for the remaining dates. This Minneapolis recording is the first show Frank and Sammy performed as a duo. Deano's sudden hospitalisation had just occurred, perhaps the night before. Sammy mentions his progress a couple times. The show requires 1 CDR.
