I'm (still) traded out... About 2,000 disks, need to take more time off to listen... At this point the only trades I'm looking for are for any Muddy Waters, Mike Bloomfield, Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac or Diana Krall that I don't already have. I seem to keep finding other interesting stuff, tho- shows I attended at the Fillmore, Chicago blues or strange collections.
Navigation here is pretty simple: click the Letter above to see the artists whose names start with that letter. I've generally put everyone under their first name: Peter Green is under "P", Diana Krall is under "D". I think the only exceptions are Bloomfield, Butterfield (B), Clapton (C) and Dylan (D). Band names are as you'd expect: Quicksilver Messenger Service is under "Q".
I've put links to cover art and/or setlists where I have them. In most cases these are the info supplied to me when I got the shows. Don't assume that any of the notes were written by me, cuz they probably weren't.
Under 'Format', you'll find 'cda' (normal audio cd), or '# cass' for those items I've gotten on tape that haven't been converted to cd yet. For some items, I have them in a compressed form: 'shn' (go to www.etree.org for info), 'ape' (go to www.monkeysaudio.com for info) or flac (flac.sourceforge.net for info) . Anything I have in compressed form can also be traded as audio. On Compressed Disks, I list the number of audio disks they will decompress to. Please let me know what format you want.
Note: NOTHING HERE IS FOR SALE, don't even ask. If I'm not too busy, I might do a B&P- you can ask... That's Blanks & Postage for you newbies- you send me the required number of blanks, along with a return mailer, pre-addressed with postage attached. I'm doing you a favor, so make it easy on me.
I'm pretty easy to trade with- use good quality disks (no Ritek, Memorex, Imation, CMC or no-names). I'm sending out Jap Fujis. Don't write on them, put them in envelopes. Extract with EAC, burn DAO. Tell me up front if you don't understand any of this. Seems everybody knows how to mail things so they don't get broke, so I won't belabor that point. I like to get set lists. Don't care much about artwork for myself, but since most folks seem to want it, I like to get it for other traders. Please send me a link or email the art, don't waste a disk or print it. I've been working on putting links in my list to find artwork.
Side rant: I hate jewel cases, I can't imagine how some traders have thousands of disks and have space for all those cases! I prefer to put all the info on a disk label and store them in Case Logic books. The books I like can hold 120 disks in a space the size of a 2" binder. My whole collection takes up about about 2 feet of shelf space. SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 4.1 is my choice for labeling software, and they have nifty full-face labels that cover all but the hole in the disk. I'm way behind in getting these made, but I have made over 600. Glad to share them, if anyone can use them.
Hmmm, seems nobody is interested in trading SureThing Labels... oh well. Here's a pretty good resource for cover art & setlists: Jamaka's Artwork Links. And etree has a pretty good database for setlists, check it out.
