CHRA forced back from defensive perimeter

In the last week, fighting between federal Canadian troops and Cole Harbour partisans has intensified. The CHRA has proven to be surprisingly well armed and entrenched, despite being heavily outnumbered by the Canadian troops. However, the CHRA has been forced to abandon part of it's defensive perimeter, as troops under Col. Daniel Hicks were withdrawn from trenches around JeBailey's. Although a defensive line has been re-established at the intersection of Caldwell and Delta, the withdrawl is a harsh defeat to CHRA forces. Some rumblings have been heard within the Cole Harbour independance movement that Col. Hicks was paying to much attention to his online publication, Useless Jargon, and not enough to his regiment, although he still seems to have the support of CHRA commander-in-chief, Generalissimo John DeWolfe.

CHRAF performs well in the skies.

The newly formed Cole Harbour Royal Air Force (CHRAF) has performed above expectations in the first week of the conflict. The squadron of well-maintained 70's era Soviet fighter jets has proven more than adaquete in disrupting the Canadian attempts at air supply, having already shot down three Sea King helicopters. (Although some of these may have fell out of the air on their own, we're not sure.) Air Marshall Chris Windeyer attributes the success to his fine pilot corps, and the excellent new fighter pilot training program at the recently nationalized Military Academy of Cole Harbour. (Formerly Auburn Drive High School.)

Daring submarine captain hampers suspected Canuck troop transport.

Decorated U-boat captain Nic Carmichael was promoted to Vice-Admiral of the Cole Harbour Royal Navy's Atlantic Fleet, following a daring torpedo raid on a suspected Canadian troop ferry. The ferry boat, plying the waters of the Halifax Harbour, carried a fake designation of "Metro Transit", but this attempt at subterfuge did not confuse Carmichael for a minute. The Admiral heroically torpedoed the unarmed boat, sending it down with all hands on board.

Historic First - Woman receives Cole Harbour's highest military honour.

Former CHSF political candidate Jacquelyn Walters received a royal audience today, as King Fabian presented her with the Regal Medal for Outstanding Performance in the Field of Excellence, Cole Harbour's highest military honour. Walters, who is the first woman to win the award, was recognized for her heroic actions at the Siege of Lawton's. When CHRA gunners ran out of munitions in the face of oncoming Canadian troops, Walters single-handedly kept the guns in action by suppling hardened balls of hummous to lob at the Canadian troops. For her bravery, she was promoted to the rank of Major, and will be put in charge of the newest CHRA regiment, the First Vegetarian Cavalry.
