Orange County Minutes 1752-1761 says that he was appointed Constable in Haw river area in September of 1758. Deed book 7, page 55 says that he sold his 150 acres of Haw River bottom land in Orange County for 13/15 pound/acre 18 Oct 1783 to William O’Neal – today this land is about $20, 000 per acre.
