40. Maternal Great Great Grandfater^{(68) (69)} was born in 1831 in Gibson County, TN. He died after 1885. He has Ancestral File number 361K-4R or 361L-5K. He used his boot to escape from his hanging before Civil War local civil authority & possible the same boot to escape from a Yankee prisoner of war confinement, later. U. S. Marshall after Civil War in Fort Smith, AR (1871-1878). In 1885 his address was New Orleans, LA when he got a share of his father's estate.. He was married to Mary J. THOMPSON on 20 Feb 1850 in Barry County, Missouri.

41. Mary J. THOMPSON⁽⁷⁰⁾ was born on 12 Dec 1834 in Tenneesse. Prir to Bill Lander letter of 8/20/99 I had 12 Dec 1832 but Bill also says that her marrie in 1934. She died on 12 Jul 1897 in Durango, Falls Co., TX. She was buried ? in Union Cemetery, Durango, Falls Co. TX. Her at her grave in Union Cemetery near Lott, Falls Co., TX. Children were:
