38. James CAMPBELL ⁽⁶⁷⁾ was born in 1813 in Ireland. A Presbyterian named James Campbell, age 28, left the town of Ballykelly of Tamlaght Finlagan parish of County Cork for New York in 1834. (from Mictchell, Brian, " Irish Emigration,", 1989.)

Not hearsay on this man, all I have is the 1850 Census!

Most probable port of entry into North America St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. His daughter Catherine's daughter Ellen's death Certificate says Catherine was born in Canada. My dad said she was born on the ship from Ireland. A cousin of dad says she was born on the St. Lawrence River. Catherine's oldest son in 1910 US Census says Catherine was born in New Brunswick. My educated guess is that St. John, New Brunswick, Canada was their port of Entry.
