Object: The goal of Cliffs Notes Fantasy Basketball is to foster interest in even the most casual of basketball fans. Each person will select the players that will score the most points for your "team" in the coming NBA season. Your "team" is comprised of 9 players. Teams: There is no draft in the league. Each person involved in the league will independently select 9 players for their team out of a list of approximately 50 players that represent most of the top scorers in the NBA last season. These roughly 50 players will be divided up into 6 tiers. Each person will select ONE (1) player out of each of these tiers. After that, 3 more players will be selected. None of these three players can be from the same tier. That is how your team will be chosen. Scoring: Scoring will consist of points scored, and that is it. At least each week throughout the NBA season, the points totals will be updated for every player and every team on this website so that each person can see what their scores are. To move up in the rankings to be in 1st place by the end of the season, your players simply need to be ball hogs, never pass the ball and score as often as possible. Transactions: There is no trading and no dropping any of the players you originally selected to acquire another player instead. Who you select in the beginning of the season is the team that you are stuck with...so choose wisely! Questions: Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions...about anything.
