SPRINGFIELD, MA -- Patrick Sharp tied a franchise record with four assists as
the Philadelphia Phantoms edged the Springfield Falcons, 4-3, on Wednesday.
Sharp helped Mark Murphy even the score at 1-1 midway through the first period
and set up three middle-stanza tallies, giving him eight points in his last
four games. Boyd Kane had a goal and two assists and Dennis Seidenberg chipped
in with a goal and an assist for Philadelphia, which improved to 8-2-0-0 when
facing non-division opponents. Neil Little raised his record to 7-1-0 by
stopping 25 of the 28 shots he faced. Jamie Storr, who has appeared in 224
career NHL games, gave up three goals on nine second-period shots and ended
with 18 saves in defeat. Shane Willis, who finished with three points, scored
twice and Ryan Craig recorded a goal and an assist for Springfield, which has
lost six straight. 1
