=================================
PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Ben Stafford had two goals and two assists for the
Philadelphia Phantoms in a 4-2 victory over the Hershey Bears on Friday, tying
the league record for consecutive wins. The Minnesota native helped Dennis
Seidenberg open the scoring 4:30 into the contest and registered three
second-period points to help his club record its 15th straight win over
Hershey. Mark Murphy added a season-high three assists and Antero Niittymaki
raised his record to 12-3-0 by making 19 saves for Philadelphia, which has
scored four goals in each of its last four games. The Phantoms have now gone
16 straight games without a loss in regulation, overtime or in a shootout,
tying the AHL record set by the Baltimore Skipjacks during the 1995-96 campaign. Tom
Lawson surrendered three goals on 14 second-period shots and ended with 26
saves in defeat. Brett Clark and Mathieu Darche each had a goal and an assist
for the Bears, who had their dismal season-high two-game winning streak
snapped.
