BINGHAMTON, NY -- Tony Voce had a goal and an assist for the surging
Philadelphia Phantoms in a 3-2 win over the Binghamton Senators on Saturday,
tying a franchise record with nine consecutive victories. Voce, who registered
his fourth multi-point game of the season, broke a 1-1 tie on the power play
late in the opening period and helped set up R.J. Umberger for a two-goal
cushion 54 seconds into the second. Patrick Sharp recorded a point for the
10th time in 11 games with a power-play tally and Joni Pitkanen chipped in
with two assists for Philadelphia, which has outscored its opponents by a
count of 37-15 since October 22. Neil Little, who faced 26 shots between the
first and second periods, made 33 saves to pick up his third win in as many
starts. Ray Emery surrendered three goals on 20 shots in the loss, dropping
his record to 3-6-1. Brandon Bochenski and Pat Kavanagh each had a goal for
Binghamton, which has lost six of its last seven games.
