Norfolk Admirals 4, Philadelphia Phantoms 3

NORFOLK, VA -- Matt Keith, Matt Ellison and Pavel Vorobiev each scored in the
third period as the Norfolk Admirals rallied for a 4-3 victory over the
Philadelphia Phantoms on Wednesday. Keith, who scored on the power play late
in the middle stanza, netted his ninth man-advantage tally of the season early
in the third to even the score at 2-2. Ellison, who finished with two points
in the contest, broke the tie with 8:52 left in regulation and Vorobiev
followed just over 90 seconds later with a penalty-shot goal for his 18th of
the year and a 4-2 lead. Rene Bourque recorded two assists to give him a
team-high 60 points and Craig Anderson turned aside 15 shots for Norfolk,
which improved to 19-8-1-6 in one-goal games. Antero Niittymaki, who made
double-digit saves in both the first and second periods, stopped 31 shots in
defeat. R.J. Umberger scored twice, John Slaney had a goal and an assist and
Jon Sim chipped in with two assists for Philadelphia, which lost in regulation
for just the third time in 37 games when leading after two periods.
