HERSHEY, PA -- Jon Sim scored on the power play late in the third period to
help the Philadelphia Phantoms defeat the Hershey Bears, 4-2, on Saturday.
Sim, who extended his goal-scoring streak to six games, took a feed from John
Slaney and beat goaltender Peter Budaj with 4:39 remaining in regulation for
his team-leading 34th goal of the season. Slaney added a man-advantage tally,
Boyd Kane registered a goal and an assist and Antero Niittymaki stopped 26
shots for Philadelphia, which improved to 22-12-3-4 against East Division
opponents. Budaj, who gave up two goals on 11 third-period shots, made 27
saves in the loss. Jeff Ulmer and Denis Bonvie each had a goal for Hershey,
which fell to just 19-3-1-1 when leading after two periods. 1
