MANCHESTER, NH -- Jon Sim recorded two goals in his third consecutive game as
the Philadelphia Phantoms doubled up the Manchester Monarchs, 4-2, on Friday.
The 27-year-old, who leads the club with 27 markers and 44 points, broke a 1-1
tie with a shorthanded tally late in the second period and capped the scoring
with an emtpy-netter, giving him two points in five of his last six contests.
R.J. Umberger and John Slaney each registered two assists and Antero
Niittymaki turned aside 25 shots for Philadelphia, which improved to 18-2-0-1
when leading after the first period. Adam Hauser surrendered three goals on 20
shots in the loss. Jeff Guiliano and Tim Gleason each had a goal and Mike
Cammalleri, who leads the league with 37 goals, had his four-game goal-scoring
streak snapped for Manchester, which has dropped four of its last six.
