=======================================
LOWELL, MA -- Antero Niittymaki stopped 31 shots for his fifth shutout of the
season as the Philadelphia Phantoms downed the Lowell Lock Monsters, 2-0, on
Wednesday. Niittymaki made 11 saves in the first period, 12 in the second and
helped shut down seven Lowell power plays en route to his 23rd victory of the
season, one win shy of tying his personal single-season best. Jon Sim scored both
goals in the contest to give him nine goals and 12 points in his last seven
games for Philadelphia, which has taken seven of its last nine on the road.
Brent Krahn stopped 16 of the 17 shots he faced in the opening stanza and
finished with 38 saves in the hard-luck loss for the Lock Monsters, who had
their four-game winning streak snapped.
