Philadelphia Phantoms 4, Hershey Bears 1
=================================

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Jon Sim registered a natural hat trick in the second
period to lead the Philadelphia Phantoms past the Hershey Bears, 4-1, on
Friday. The 27-year-old netted his 15th goal of the season early in the
period. Sim broke a 1-1 tie at the 8:21 mark and completed the tri-fecta just
over two minutes later. With his performance, the left-winger became just the
second player in team history to record a natural hat trick. Jason Zent
accomplished the feat for Philadelphia during the 1998-99 campaign. Todd
Fedoruk had three assists and R.J. Umberger chipped in with two assists for
the Phantoms, who snapped a three-game losing skid versus Hershey and have won
five of their last six overall. Antero Niittymaki, who has allowed one goal or
less in six of his last seven starts, turned aside 34 shots to raise his
record to 21-15-4. Peter Budaj gave up three goals on 10 second-period shots
and finished with 29 saves in defeat. Cody McCormick tallied his fourth goal
of the season for the Bears, who fell to 13-14-0 on the road. 1
