CINCINNATI, OH -- Frederic Cassivi recorded his third consecutive shutout as
the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks defeated the Philadelphia Phantoms, 5-0, on
Wednesday. Cassivi, who stopped 25 total shots to even his record at 14-14-1,
made 11 first-period saves en route to his sixth shutout of the season and
15th of his career. Zenon Konopka scored twice and Stanislav Chistov
registered three assists for Cincinnati, which has won three straight and four
of its last five. Antero Niittymaki, who was pulled late in the second period,
gave up four goals on 24 shots in the loss for Philadelphia, which had its
five-game road winning streak snapped.
