BRIDGEPORT, CT -- Chris Campoli scored early in the third period for the
Bridgeport Sound Tigers in a 2-1 triumph over the Philadelphia Phantoms on
Saturday. The 20-year-old defenseman took a feed from Jim Campbell and beat
goaltender Antero Niittyamki 3:33 into the final stanza for his fifth
tally of the season. Kevin Colley evened the score at 1-1 midway through the
second period and Wade Dubielewicz, who stopped all 13 shots he faced over the
final 20 minutes, turned aside 31 total shots for Bridgeport, which improved to 3-2-0
against Philadelphia this year. Niittyamki, who fell to 2-5-4 since December
19, gave up one goal on three third-period shots and finished with 18 saves in
defeat. R.J. Umberger netted his first goal since January 8 for the Phantoms,
who have dropped seven of their last 10 on the road.
