ROCHESTER, NY -- Paul Gaustad scored twice for the Rochester Americans in a
2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phantoms on Friday. Gaustad evened the score
at 1-1 early in the second period and put a Jason Pominville feed behind
goaltender Antero Niittymaki 7:01 into the third for his second game-winning
tally of the season. Ryan Miller turned aside 13 of the 14 shots he faced in
the first period and finished with 31 saves for Rochester, which has won three
straight and seven of its last eight. Niittyamki made 25 saves in defeat. Jon
Sim netted his 13th goal of the season for Philadelphia, which has lost four
straight and six of its last eight.
