PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Rene Bourque, Jason Morgan and Mikahil Yakubov each scored in the shootout as the Norfolk Admirals edged the Philadelphia Phantoms, 3-2
, on Sunday. Bourque, who opened the scoring midway through the first period,
established a 1-0 lead in the first round. Morgan and Yakubov each followed
with markers in the fourth and fifth rounds, respectively, for a 3-1
advantage. Eric Nickulas added a power-play goal and Michael Leighton made 29 saves for Norfolk, which has won three straight and five of its last six.
Antero Niittymaki made 22 saves in the loss. Boyd Kane and Ryan Ready each had
a goal for Philadelphia, which has dropped four straight to the Admirals.
