PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Jamie Pushor scored midway through the third period to
help the Syracuse Crunch edge the Philadelphia Phantoms, 2-1, on Friday.
Pushor, who has 13 goals and 57 points in 517 career NHL games, took a feed
from Matthias Trattnig and beat goaltender Antero Niittymaki for his first
goal of the season. Mark Hartigan added a goal and Karl Goehring stopped 22
shots for Syracuse, which has won consecutive games after dropping its
previous three. Niittymaki made 29 saves in defeat, suffering his sixth loss
in as many starts. Jon Sim netted his third power-play goal of the season for
Philadelphia, which has lost seven of its last eight. 1
