PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Josh Langfeld had a goal and two assists for the
Binghamton Senators in a 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phatoms on Sunday
in a contest which featured a combined 376 penalty minutes. Langfeld helped
Denis Hamel open the scoring 2:08 into the contest. He netted his fourth power-
play goal of the season late in the middle stanza and set up Alexandre Giroux
for a 4-1 lead midway through the third. Hamel and Giroux each chipped in with
an assist and Serge Payer added a goal and an assist for Binghamton, which
picked up its second win in as many games against Philadelphia. Ray Emery, who
was involved in a third-period brawl, stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced to
pick up the win, improving to 10-8-2. Neil Little, who received a game
misconduct for his part in one of several fights that took place, made 20
saves in defeat. Mike Siklenka netted his first goal of the season and Peter
Vandermeer, who now leads the league with 243 penalty minutes, set a franchise
single-game record with 44 PIM for the Phantoms, who suffered consecutive
losses for the first time since November 12. The contest ended with eight
seconds remaining in regulation due to the lack of players for both teams. 1
