PHILADELPHIA, PA (at Center) -- Kirk Furey and Patrick Sharp each scored on the
power play for the Philadelphia Phantoms in a 3-2 triumph over the
Wilkes-
Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday. Furey broke a 1-1 tie midway through the
second period for his first career AHL goal and Sharp established a two-goal
lead late in the stanza. Ben Stafford registered his fourth goal of the season
and Neil Little made 26 saves for Philadelphia, which improved to 5-0-1 since
November 16. Steve Webb and Eric Meloche each scored for Wilkes-Barre, which
has lost six of its last seven. Martin Brochu made double-digit saves in both
the first and second periods and ended with 35 saves in defeat.
