PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Matt Keith, Matt Ellison and Michal Barinka each scored in
the third period to help the Norfolk Admirals tie the Philadelphia Phantoms,
4-4, on Wednesday. Keith cut the Philadelphia lead to 4-2 with 4:34 gone in the
stanza and Ellison, who finished with two points, scored on the power play just
over three minutes later for a one-goal game. Barinka took a feed from Carsen
Germyn and beat goaltender Antero Niitymaki at the 8:07 mark of the third to
complete the scoring. Marty Wilford added two assists and Adam Munro stopped 22
shots for Norfolk, which ended regulation tied for the third time in as many
games. Niitymaki faced 20 third-period shots and finished with 35 saves in the
tie. Kirby Law scored twice and Mark Murphy had a goal and two assists for the
Phantoms, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.
