===============================================
WILKES-BARRE, PA -- Michel Ouellet scored twice in the third period to help the
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins down the Philadelphia Phantoms, 3-1, on Friday.
After Tomas Surovy evened the score on the power play early in the final
stanza, Ouellet beat goaltender Antero Niittymaki at the 8:11 mark for a 2-1
lead and netted his third of the season just over four minutes later. Kris
Beech had three assists and Andy Chiodo, who made double-digit saves in both
the second and third periods, turned aside 29 shots for Wilkes-Barre, which has
won three of its last four games. Niittymaki, who entered the third period
having stopped all 17 shots he had faced, surrendered three goals on 16 shots
to suffer the loss. Nick Deschenes, a product from Yale University, tallied his
first professional goal for Philadelphia, which has lost three straight.
