Syracuse Crunch 2, Philadelphia Phantoms 1 (OT)
=======================================

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Ken McDonell scored in overtime to give the Syracuse Crunch
a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phantoms on Sunday. With Joey Hope serving
a Philadelphia minor penalty for slashing, McDonell put a pass from Mark
Hartigan behind goaltender Antero Niittymaki 1:35 into overtime for his second
tally of the contest. Karl Goehring made double-digit saves in both the first
and third periods and finished with 30 saves for Syracuse, which raised its
record to 3-0-1-0. Niittymaki, who faced just two shots over the final 20
minutes of regulation, was unable to repel the second Crunch chance he faced in
overtime, making 14 saves in defeat. Mike Peluso had the lone goal for the
Phantoms, who have dropped three of their first four games at home. 1
