PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Denis Hamel scored twice and finished with three points
for the Binghamton Senators in a 4-2 triumph over the Philadelphia Phantoms on
Friday. Hamel helped Daniel Corso even the score at 1-1 five minutes into the
second period, tallied his first goal of the season midway through the stanza
and capped the scoring with an empty-net marker late in the third. Corso
chipped in an assists and Alexandre Giroux added a pair of assists for
Binghamton. Ray Emery, who turned aside all 13 shots he faced in the first
period, registered 23 saves to pick up the win for the Senators. Neil Little
surrendered three goals on 11 second-period shots and ended with 19 saves in
defeat for Philadelphia. B.J. Abei broke a scoreless tie early in the middle
stanza and Peter White, the league's all-time active leading scorer,
contributed a goal in the loss for the Phantoms. 1
