WILKES-BARRE, PA -- Freddy Meyer scored twice for the Philadelphia Phantoms in
a 4-1 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scraton Penguins, giving them a season-high
six straight victories. Meyer opened the scoring midway through the first
period and gave his team a 3-1 cushion with 92 seconds remaining in the
contest. John Slaney registered two goals and Neil Little turned aside 23
shots for Philadelphia, which improved to 21-13-3 on the road. Martin Brochu
made 13 saves in the loss. Ross Lupaschuk registered his fourth goal of the
season for Wilkes-Barre, which has dropped just two of its last six.
