BINGHAMTON, NY -- James Laux scored early in overtime to give the Philadelphia
Phantoms a 1-0 victory over the Binghamton Senators on Saturday. Laux, a native
of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, beat goaltender Ray Emery 23 seconds into the extra
session for his first professional game-winning goal. Antero Niittymaki picked
up his sixth shutout of the season and improved to 22-11-6 by stopping 23
shots for Philadelphia, which has won three of its last four road games. Emery
finished with 29 saves in defeat for Binghamton, which has lost three straight
and four of its last six. 1
