PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Peter White scored on the power play early in the third
period to help the Philadelphia Phantoms edge the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 2-1,
on Friday. White placed a feed from Mike Peluso behind goaltender Dieter Kochan
5:14 into the final stanza for his second game-winning tally of the season.
Peluso finished with two assists and Antero Niittymaki stopped 23 shots for
Philadelphia, which has taken five of its last eight. Kochan made 22 saves in
the loss. Derek Bekar evened the score midway through the second for
Bridgeport, which has lost three straight.
