PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Ian MacNeil scored twice to help the Philadelphia Phantoms
down the Albany River Rats, 5-3, on Sunday. MacNeil, who finished with three
points, evened the score at 3-3 with 43 seconds remaining in the first period
and gave his team the lead on the power play 1:34 into the second. Ben
Stafford added a goal and an assist and Antero Niittymaki improved to
16-9-6 after stopping 25 shots for Philadelphia, which raised its home record
to 18-9-3-1. Ari Ahonen turned aside 26 shots in defeat. Ahren Nittel and Jiri
Bicek each had three points for Albany, which has lost five of its last six.
