PHILADELPHIA, PA -- John Slaney scored with 83 seconds gone in overtime to give
the Philadelphia Phantoms a 4-3 triumph over the Milwaukee Admirals on
Saturday. After Greg Zanon took a holding minor with eight seconds remaining in
regulation, Slaney put a feed from Kirby Law past goaltender Wade Flaherty for
a 4-on-3 tally and his second game-winner of the season. Law finished with
three assists and Peter White chipped in with a goal and an assist for
Philadelphia, which has taken five of its last six and finished January with a
makr of 10-2-1. Antero Niittymaki stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced in the
second period and made 23 total saves in the win. Flaherty, who was unable to
stop the only shot he faced in overtime, stopped 22 shots in defeat. Brad Tiley
moved into a tie for the team-lead in power-play goals with his sixth of the
season for Milwaukee, which fell to 1-3-6 in overtime games this year. 1
