PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Randy Jones and Nick Deschenes each scored in the third
period to help the Philadelphia Phantoms edge the Springfield Falcons, 3-2.
Jones evened the score at 2-2 on the power play 6:50 into the third and
Deschenes followed with his second game-winner of the season with 4:25
remaining in regulation. Freddy Meyer netted his second goal in as many games
and Ben Stafford chipped in with three assists for Philadelphia, which has won four straight and nine of its last 10. Neil Little stopped 24 of the 26
shots he faced to pick up the win. David LeNeveu fell to 8-11-1 after
surrendering three goals on 32 shots. Erik Westrum and Frantisek Lukes each had
a goal for Springfield, which has lost five of its last six.
