PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Patrick Sharp recorded two goals in the third period as
the Philadelphia Phantoms downed the Norfolk Admirals, 4-1, on Sunday. Sharp
gave his team a three-goal lead 58 seconds into the final stanza and placed
his team-leading seventh power-play goal into an empty Norfolk net late in the
contest. Randy Jones chipped in with a goal and an assist and Antero
Niittymaki made 32 saves for Philadelphia, which has won six of its last
seven. Michael Leighton, playing in his second game since being demoted from
Chicago on January 15, surrendered three goals on 26 shots in the loss. Anton
Babchuk had the lone goal for the Admirals, who have lost four straight and
six of their last seven.
