Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 4, Philadelphia Phantoms 3

WILKES-BARRE, PA -- Kris Beech scored on the power play with just over six
minutes gone in the third period to help the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins
defeat the Philadelphia Phantoms, 4-3, on Saturday. Beech, who entered the
contest with a team-high 28 points, put a pass from Patrick Boileau past
goaltender Neil Little for his third game-winning tally of the season. Beech
finished with two points and Matt Murley added a goal and an assist for Wilkes-
Barre, which picked up its first win in its last four games against
Philadelphia. Andy Chiodo stopped all 12 shots he faced in the third period
and completed the contest with 26 saves for the win. Neil Little made 31 saves
in the loss. P.J. Stock had a goal and an assist for the Phantoms, who lost
for just the second time in their last 12 road games. 1
