PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Patrick Sharp scored twice on the power play to help the
Philadelphia Phantoms edge the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 3-2, on Sunday.
Sharp established a 2-0 lead late in the first period and tallied his team-
leading sixth man-advantage goal with 13 seconds remaining in the middle
stanza. John Slaney had a goal and an assist and Kirby Law added three assists
for Philadlephia, which has taken six of its last 10 games. Antero Niittymaki
made 22 saves to pick up the win. Martin Brochu, who replaced starter Andy
Chiodo to begin the second period, surrendered one goal on 25 shots in the
loss. Tody Petersen had a goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre, which has lost
four of its last six.
