PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Mike Glumac had a hat trick for the Worcester IceCats in a
3-1 triumph over the Philadelphia Phantoms on Friday. Glumac, a product of
Miami University (Ohio), broke a scoreless tie five minutes into the second
period and gave his team a one-goal lead with 36 seconds gone in the third
before capping his performance with an empty-netter. Curtis Sanford stopped 17
of the 18 shots he faced to pick up the win for Worcester, which improved to
9-5-4 on the road. Antero Niittymaki made 25 saves in the loss. Kirby Law
registered his team-leading 14th goal for Philadelphia, which lost three
straight for the first time since October 24.
