| Curriculum. In the late seventies of the 20th century working as a teacher and remedial teacher at a primary school. Went to a teacher training college lecturing in the didactics of mathematics, education and educational technology. Interested in Reform Education and its impact on modern education. Worked in the eighties at the University of Twente/ National Center for ICT, developing an ICT learning environment for children grade K12. The environment was disseminated by the government to all seven thousand Dutch primary schools Guest lecturing at the Universities of Dresden, Osnabrueck (Germany), Linz (Austria), Riga (Latvia), Schwyz/Goldau (Switzerland), Budapest (Hungaria) and Bolzano (Italy). Founded a centre for Telematics at the Edith Stein/OCT school of education. More then 500 primary schools were provided with e-mail facilities. Also in Belgium and Germany. In the late nineties working at the National Centre for Language Education/Radboud University Nijmegen. Here multimedia learning environments are constructed for Teacher Training Colleges, Primary Schools and preschool education. Research is done after the effects of these e-learning environments, with an emphasis on the place, function and working of online communities. Editor of the educational journal "Jeugd in School en Wereld". Member of the governing board of the Thinkquest foundation. Member of the governing board of the Dutch Freinet movement.
