1. The X-Files
WHY: . This is my all time favorite show.
Although my school chums won't believe me when I say this"This show was very popular at one time." I said it. That is true. The X-Files had a huge audience all through the nineties and into the tens. SCI FI will never leave us, even though we are being taken over by stupid shows and movies l ike That 70's Show and Dude Where's My Car(connection: both starring Ashton Kutcher). this is sort of personal but I love the X-Files, so there it is.
2. Arrested Development
WHY: I know it's new, I also know it doesn't have a large following, yet, but I do know that it is hilarious. This is one of Opie's best creations. I had known about this show for a whie because my aunt is the costume supervisor on it and when I saw it I had a new regular show to watch. WATCH IT!!!
3. ER
WHY: Another great show. I first watched this as a recommendation from Nat at Dog Ear. So I rented the first season(22 45 min long episodes) in about four or five days. I was so impressed by the scale of the show and how it is just so quick and addicting. The acting in the first season was great with Anthony Edwards, Sherry Stringfield, Julianna Margulies, Georger Clooney, Noah Wyle, and Eric LaSalle. Many of which stayed on for a very long time or are still on. Even with new actors Goran Visnic Mekki Phiepher it's just as good. This show is amazing because it is just as popular as the last nine seasons. I guess noone has gotten board yet.
4. The Simpsons
WHY: The Simpsons are still great and they are in their fifteenth season and have een renewed up to 17!
They require no explanation.
5. Star Trek: The Next Generation, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise
WHY: Star Trek is classic. It began in the 60's became a higly sucessful film series and has had four offspring series which are just as good.
6. Alias
WHY: This show is soooo fast paced and well done. Every time you watch it it's like a movie. It has sooo many cliff hangers and action suspense and neato gadgets. It's like a more controversial version of James Bond( which I also watch avidly). I've seen every james bond more than five times ask me anything.
