The premise was to incorperate the outlandish theme of Super Teach using the most modern form of travel of the day, the Space Shuttle, tied in with an older theme, and parody the James Bond secret agent series as a story platform. So, reaching back to a Super Teach story over two years old, the characters become aware of a forgotten cache of illegally minted gold coins ("teacher's gold"). Super Teach has a stake in depositing them secretly on the moon, while the students have a vested interest in recovering the hoard.
