One year after he finally completed Our Dear School Comics #34, John got the itch for drawing more comic work. The result was "The Blazer's Edge", a sharp parody of the over-hyped O.J. Simpson traffic chase that same year tied in with MC's staple comic pair, John and Scot. John actually set it as a complete book, to be John and Scot #6, but it never made it to press. Even a follow-up story to this one was started, but never completed. All we have now, John's last comic art ever, is a glimpse of what the future of MC Comics might have been.
