About an hour passed, and Rain was just sitting with her hands in the UV dryer for her nails, when in comes John and Eric. They had parked by the hair dresser's shop. As we left the nail salon, John explained that they went to KALAMAZOO to pick up the tuxes...but they weren't there. (Now, keep in mind, John WAS there in BATTLE CREEK when he was measured for his tux!!!!!!!) Needless to say, we walked to the hair dresser's shop, Rain reminded John to go to Battle Creek this trip. Then John couldn't remember why he'd come all the way to Three Rivers just to turn around to go to Battle Creek...Rain reminded him of the hair cuts he and Eric wanted!!!!
Talk about your basic nervous groom!!!!!! Guess what? It gets better!
Later, John and Eric return...tuxes safely in tow! They get their hair cuts, Rain makes her wedding day appointments, and we are off...to Taco Bell ('cause I ain't gonna cook and clean and do dishes with $35 nails on my hands!!!!!) for a "nutritious" meal. We have to hurry home because John's nephew, Brad, is coming over to re-record some music for the wedding ceremony (copying our MP3s to CD)...apparently there were some problems the day before!
We get home, skarf on some semi-cold tacos and burritos, help Brad get the rest of the tunes, and finish wrapping the gifts for the wedding party! That night is Girls Night Out...so Rain has to get dressed to hit the bar! Rain heads out as the snow begins to fall and bids her fellas "adios."
At the bar...do you really need to know????? All of the guys in the band are friends of Rain's...PARTY! We dance until one too many guitar strings is broken and the band has to give up for the night. Rain's maid of honor and one bridesmaid are there (the other is not really old enough to get in...but the owner of the bar is engaged to her "grandfather", so she probably could have come)...and lots of old friends!!! What a night!
When Rain gets home she helps her sleepy guys to bed...thus ends the first night of the wedding weekend.
