Question by Joseph (Fogle):  �Did not John Hammett tell you that he rec�d of Becky Fogle 12$ at the time Adam Fogle was indicted and taken away�

Answer (John Dawson):  He told me he rec�d 12$ of Becky then.

Question by Hammett:  �Do you know of your own knowledge that the money I recv�d told you of went to pay the ______�

Answer (JD):  �I do not�

And further this deponent saith not.

The deposition of Charles Hayden taken at the same time and place and the Deponent being first sworn Deposeth and saith

Question by Hammett:  �Did you not see a Bill of Sale for negro Ned and negro Jerry that Adam and Joseph Fogle were Joint Partners in�

Answer (Charles Hayden):  �The Bill of Sale I saw for Ned and also the one I saw for Jerry was given to Adam Fogle and Joseph Fogle jointly�

Question by same (JH):  �Was not there two negros then one the _____ at the time that Joseph and Adam Fogle parted�

Answer (CH):  �There was Ned and Jerry.  Ned continued on the place with Adam Fogle, Jerry went with Joseph Fogle�

Question by same (JH):  �Did you hear Adam Fogle say that he could not settle the accounts in English�

Answer (CH):  �When ever I applied for my account he told me to go and settle with Joe for he did not understand English�

Question by Joseph Fogle:  �Did you ever hear Adam Fogle say that he was not contented by us taking Jerry�

Answer (CH):  No

And further the Deponant saith not.
