Snowmobiling 2004
Finally!  The snowmobiling season hit us with a bang in early December, 2003, only to be followed by three rainstorms :-(.  Middle of January, there was finally enough snow to hit the trails, here's a bunch of pictures from the trails and the apres-sleddin activities.
Overlooking sand pond Pauli and Bob sharing a little love
The first ride of the season took us to a bluff overlooking Sand pond, that's me, Pete, Dave, Stephie-baby, Lynn and Christopher.  On right, well, hey guys (Pauli and Tom)... I think you guys need to take a trip down to Massachusetts, I hear it's legal there!
Kernel Holman hill
Mancamp in the newfallen snow
Mancamp in the snow, saturday morning February 7th.  We got about three inches the night before, enough to make the trails downright sweet!  On the right, that's the view from colnel holman hill, in Jay I believe.  That's about a 15 mile ride from the camp, a great place to rest up.
Access path down
Brit and Santa
Pete, Stephie-baby, Chris and I at the top of colnel holman hill.  That's the access trail down the hill.
Chris and Jen
We're number two!
What would a saturday night in Chesterville be without having to dig out somebody's automobile?  Poor Chris... after having his snowmobile's frame bent by an errant rock, he found his 4wd dodge sliding off the driveway and over the retaining wall.  Now this guy was seriously screwed!  We're number two!  That's big Jim from NC, an ardent Panther's fan, letting us know the ranking of his team.
Saturday night at Dave and Lynn's place
My sled
So what do you do after a good day's ride with a saturday night to kill in Chestertownvilleplace?  Why party at Dave's place of course!  That's the whole crew, down in Dave's basement watching the bud shootout.  On the right, after a nice 35 mile loop, that's my sled (a polaris 550 trail touring) resting on Mancamp lake.  Off in the distance, I believe that's sugarloaf mountain.
