Valentines Day Snowmobiling, Feb 2004 |
I hadn't taken the girls up to the camp since Columbus day weekend, so the girls were getting antsy to head north. I had heard that the forecast for the weekend was going to be brutally cold, but I figured we could collectively man it up... those two little girls are pretty tough New Englanders! Sunday night was one of the prettiest I've ever seen, crystal clear (cold) skies, I took some pictures, click here to see them. If you're interested in ordering any pics from this weekend, they can be found here. |

Saturday around noontime, me, the cherubs, Greggy and Lea took a quick trip to the village store, now L & R variety. That's Laura loo on the left with Munchie, the attack dog. Later in the day, we took a 30 mile ride, stopped for lunch, which of course was the girls favorite part of the trip. |

Laura Loo and Stephie baby! Afterwards, Laura told me that she wanted to go faster, putting around at 20mph just wasn't working for her! You never know what you're going to find when you're out riding around in Maine... one of the trails that we take back goes right through a gated cow pasteur. |

On Sunday morning me, the girls, Greggy and Lea went for a 30 mile loop around Chesterville and Wilton. It's a nice loop, going through the woods for the most part, but some open trails out by the power lines. That's greggy, aka "moldy cheese", on the right with me. |

That's greggy (moldy cheese) and a very guilty looking dog with a bird feather on his nose... where are clarice and emo anyway? On the right, that's a pic from our very first to the Village market under new management, now "L & R variety". The girls had a wonderful visit, they got to see the new owners kitty and pup. |

Yup, that's -13f on Monday morning, Feb 16th. The camp was 39f when we woke up, the girls instinctively know where to go when this stuff happens! Later that day we were out snowmobiling about, the little ladies are taking to New England winters in a big way. |
