*This should allow Vancouver folks to catch the 8:30am ferry from Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver to Departure Bay, Nanaimo. Or, for those who prefer, there's a 7:45am ferry from Tsawwassen, Delta to Duke Point, Nanaimo. These ferries are supposed to arrive in Nanaimo at 10:05 and 9:45 respectively, leaving you around an hour and a half to drive to Parksville (usual length of time required is 45 minutes from Departure Bay and an hour from Duke Point).

**This will leave enough time to get to the 8:15pm ferry from Duke Point to Tsawwassen. Or, you could go for the 7:00pm from Departure Bay.
