Crackle Experiments 2006
I've been fascinated by crackle gels and pastes this year.  Also I've used leveling gels on top of crackle as a sort of contest to see which media would win out -- the one that wants to draw it all together or the one that wants to split.
Saffronicity Leak
Saffronicity, acrylic on polyester.  #324.  This wasn't supposed to be a crackle but the gel split and I later painted the splits with the gold for a lightening effect.  Available.  Credit to Nancy Lopez for the kirigami paper in the center. Leak, acrylic paste on board.  #334.  My first try with white acrylic paste.  Intended as a commentary on the "Big Dig".  Available.
