Wine Drank by John Jaster
I went from tea totaler to Wine Century Club member and have tried 156 different wine grapes in three years.
Grover Vineyards Viognier; Luzon Verde; Chamarre Tradition Bordeaux

Grover Vineyards, Viognier Clairette, 2005 (Nandi Hills, India) - I was excited to try this as my first wine from India and I had read good things about this vineyard.  I'd say it was a middle of the road viognier.  There were some elements of melon rind like I described in a cheaper version but not as harsh.  I personally don't get all the fruit flavors the label lists.  BUT I do find it fresh and pleasant and it has a very long finish.  So it's a quality white wine, but I'd say it's a bit of an acquired taste.  6 out of 10 for upper average.

Luzon Verde, 2006 (Jumilla, Spain) - An organic wine from Spain and one in which I'd previously read a mediocre review on the web.  Personally I don't find it too mild as that review said.  I'd instead say it is smooth, and really not at all different from other smooth monastrell's I've tried.  Regardless I'd only score it a 5 out of 10 for lower average.

Chamarre Tradition Bordeaux, 2003 (France) - Recommended by Sotheby's Wine Encyclopedia as a decent inexpensive bordeaux, personally I found it weak, light weight and cheap.  First glass had decent tanins, but later glasses were just weak.  5 out of 10 for lower average.
